Who we are

Prettyparse (getprettyparse.com) provides free, browser-based developer tools such as our JSON Formatter. JSON you paste into the tool is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to our servers for formatting or validation.

What data we process

• Tool content: JSON and text you enter stay in your browser for processing. We do not receive your payloads for the core formatting features.
• Consent preference: stored in localStorage on your device so we remember Accept / Reject / custom choices.
• Advertising / analytics (optional): only if you grant consent — see below.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a cookie consent banner so you can Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, or Manage Preferences. Non-essential advertising scripts do not load until you consent. You can reopen settings anytime via Cookie settings.

Google Consent Mode

We implement Google Consent Mode so advertising and measurement tags default to denied storage until you grant the relevant consent. When you Accept All or enable Advertising in preferences, we update consent signals (for example ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) accordingly.

Where GDPR applies: essential processing is based on legitimate interest / necessity to provide the service you request; non-essential cookies and personalized ads rely on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time via Cookie settings without affecting the core JSON tool.

Children

Prettyparse is not directed at children under 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after updates means you should review this page periodically.
